Industrial style apartments
In july we open 3 factory apartments and 1 mixed dorm. You can book your stay already now.
Our classically designed apartments come with everything you need for a comfy stay, plus factory perks that include a light breakfast, wifi, desk, towels and first hand tips for exploring Lofotens hidden gems. The rooms have plenty of original historic industrial detailing, exposed concrete walls, comfy beds, and views of the surrounding Henningsvær neighborhood. They also come with kitchenettes, corner sofa, flat screen and beautiful bathrooms. We also offer bunk beds for single travelers or groups.
*These are just photos for illustration, we are currently refurbishing our rooms for opening in July with same standard as in pictures.
The three story 2000 square meter concrete building still bears signs of its industrial past. It was built in 1948 and housed activities ranging from cod-liver oil production, shrimp peeling and a carpentry shop, known for its handcrafted wooden doors and stairs. The factory provided income to many fisherman and handcrafters living in Henningsvær. The carpentry closed its doors in 2010. In 2014 it was bought by four young men from Bergen, who are slowly renovating the spaces through “dugnad” (voluntary work) for future use as a cultural hub and social shelter for creative and leisure activities in Lofoten.
Sees i havgapet!
