At the sea side of the factory, above Hermetikken and with a scenic view towards Vestfjorden and the Lofoten Wall, you will find the “Trandamperiet” rooms, which once were used for production of cod liver oil.

During the 1950s-1990s, thousand liters of cod liver oil was produced in these rooms day and night from February until April when the fisherman caught skrei (cod) out in the Vestfjord. The production of the cod liver oil was run by former steam ship workers who worked 12 hour shifts, and during these shifts, the factory produced so much power that they used to sell electricity to the local power supplier as well.

Now these rooms have been renovated and transformed into adaptable spaces perfect for a wide range of events, both private and public gatherings. If you have a future celebration, retreat, reunion or special occasion in mind, let’s talk.

The Trandamperiet room on the 2nd floor used to be part of the cod liver oil production site of the factory. Since the new owners took over in 2014, the space has seen some renovation and renewed purpose, along with fresh wooden floor beds and locally made tables and benches. The room is always light and airy thanks to the big windows overlooking our backyard and the Lofoten wall.

The space is ideal for meetings and presentations with up to 50 people. There is wall space for projections, and room for several flip charts or boards. The venue can also be set up for private dinner parties or company lunches.

In addition to the room, you will find our wine bar, which makes it very convenient for having private events or parties with your own bar next door.

During the summer we convert the bar and both floors into our own, hidden wine bar, focusing on quality wines from most wine districts around the world, local beers and also host vinyl nights and dj-sets.

The Trandamperiet room on the 3rd floor used to be the heart of the cod liver oil production site and has even more scenic views towards the Lofoten wall than the room below. The floor here still has its original tiles from when the factory was built and you can even to this day notice the light smell of cod liver oil in the room, due to the original steam barrels being present.  It’s always light and airy thanks to the big windows overlooking our backyard and the Lofoten wall.

This is a wonderful space for dinners, lunches or workshops with up to 35 people (sitting). There’s wall space for projections, and room for several flip charts or boards.
